If you exercise to lose weight, you probably know cardio is key… or is it ??? The best way to burn fat is to increase
your metabolic rate by increasing your lean muscle. And how do you do that? Good old fashioned weight – training. Muscle burns calories all day long. Doing cardio only burns calories while you’re working out. Weight training increases your metabolism up to 24 hours AFTER your workout is over!!
You do burn a highter percentage of calories from fat doing lower – intensity cardio exercise. However, by weight training, you burn more overall calories throughout your day.
